Kylee from Kylee B Photography is killing it again in the 2nd part of her 3 part conceptual music idea. Kylee's second concept was Billie Eilish inspired. She has such a cool laid back fashion that I think is perfect for her vibe. Now I have always been a fan of Billie Eilish but I'm old fashioned and sometimes it takes some time for me to learn all the new music of artist today. But after Kylee explain how Billie gave her Zen vibes that made her feel she could tackle anything I knew I had to listen to all her non-mainstream music. I was hooked instantly and was inspired by her style and her bold colors. I love mustards, reds and blues! And this sticks with all the bold color themes to Kylee's concepts this month. Wait till you see what all these ladies had to offer and guess what?! I got to be apart of the group and work with Kylee again!
We went with natural vibes for this since Billie is one for fashion but never huge on makeup so we went with the most natural feel and let the colors and textures take the wheel. And obviously this bubble gum! Kylee had all the flavors and colors but I do think the blue raspberry Big League Chew really was the show stopper and you could smell it from across the room is was so strong!!
You know Kylee though, she is a boss at using her prisms to create all these layers in camera, its one of my favorite affects and you will see exactly why in this post! But Vanessa's whole vibe is life, She came fully prepared with these two super cool lime green sets, you can see the one above and then this skirt set is actually a Pepsi brand outfit! We loved playing with the colors, so we kept her makeup on the warm natural side to match her cool blazers and sneaker sets. I love a good white high top shoe and some ankle socks! Billie is always fashionable to comfortable and I think Vanessa knew exactly what that feels like in her get up. She also got to use this super cool, kind of smoky blue fuzzy knee length jacket for her super fun look. We even got to play with some fanny packs and red cellophane, thats what you see in the bottom of the first image so keep an eye our for red accents!

While listening to Billie I couldn't help but be entranced by her soft voice and powerful lyrics. It was easy to connect too instantly. As I find myself in an emotional whirl wind her voice was a beautiful distraction the carries you into what feels like a soft world. She often says people make fun of her as a "whisper" singer but to me, you dont have to belt things to be powerful. Her words and he notes are strong and beautiful and have all the same power. And although Kylee's main inspiration was her Bellyache song we played the whole album on repeat the whole time!
Here is my girl Aimee coming at you again! You saw her previously in a a boudoir session with Annie and now here she is in front of Kylee's camera for a fun conceptual idea! I was so pumped to meet up with her again and set her face up all pretty for the second time. She is playing with this fun green tulle in her bleach tie-die hand crafted by Kylee herself! And her awesome belt necklace! It just totally completes the look with those shoes! You guys, the white shoes for this day!!!
I love this aesthetic, are you totally feeling these vibes yet? And check out the chained belt, I love that Billie embodies all fashion, and when she goes for chains she goes all out and same with her jewelry, her ring displays are crazy sometimes. I know music videos might be old fashioned....but you should check hers out because they still make them! And hers are either elaborate as hell or super simple.
So mid shoot Kylee asked if we could make this roll of cellophane into some wild looking puffy jacket and I'm like duh!! obviously, just let me work my magic here and see how we can make this work! A couple twirls, twist and spins with two bows and we have ourselves a cellophane puffy jacket! I'm honestly really pumped on how this turned out and really love the whole vibe it gives Aimee. As she was going through her poses for this look I was just in the background giggling and vibeing because this is such big energy idea and so not Aimee that it just completes the whole experience. She delivered tho!
Perfection!

Sitting all alone, Mouth full of gum
In the driveway"
Here where I get to come in with my oversized overalls and mesh crop top. I knew I found these items for a reason and it feels right, especially with this bubble gum and tulle. Kylee actually came to me with this idea at the end of last year so we were a little extra prepared and when she presented it in the spring with all these other concepts it felt even more right. Also shooting these ideas at Supply Manheim, in Manheim Pa, is worth the short distance to the location. The Bellyache remix by Billie Eilish was her original inspiration for this concept, she said those first few lyrics -sitting all alone, mouth full of gum, in the drive way- played back to her and I cant argue with where her mind.
mouth full of gum
And at the end of the day she is my creative soul sister! We were even just saying we wouldn't believe it if you told us in high school, that we would be creating magic like this today! and I wouldn't change it for the world, we get to let our creative juices flow at our highest frequency! This cellophane is from a shoot we did almost 5 years ago and I was so happy I still had some around cause it completed a lot of looks. Another weird creation of mine in modeling is painting and playing with wax lips, the old "candy" red lips. So these are my Billie Eilish fashion inspired lips with a teal bottom lip and red rope upper lip! I honestly am so proud at how these all came together! I am grateful for Kylee!
here she goes with her prisms again!! Do you see what I am talking about yet!?
total feels.
"i lost my mind, i dont mind
where is my mind?"
I really cant thank Kylee enough for letting me be apart of her concepts and to let me help her create her ideas into real life. We as artist need creative outlets that are just a creative flow of what we think or feel. These are great ways of expression and needs outlets of expressing in such disconnected ways of life now. We need every avenue we can take. We created art, and we created ideas into life, dreams into reality and we have one more concept to go for next week and I cant wait to show you guys our last concept before the 2021 wedding season starts and what's even more exciting is I have my first wedding of the year on Saturday and Annie will be photographing the wedding with Kylee as the second shooter, so what a way to start the season! I cant wait!
